Lighter: Second points season with Robinhood

Lighter is running a second season of points farming in collaboration with Robinhood.

The message says the new season is tied to a clearly defined prize pool rather than simple open-ended farming.

For free accounts, points are now mostly earned through interaction with Premium.

Free Maker + Free Taker trading still has $0 fees, but the post says rewards without Premium are very small.

On Premium, the stated economics are about $0.4 for Maker and $2.8 for Taker at $10K volume.

Current conditions are described as much worse than before, with roughly 2-2.5 points per $1M maker volume only for Premium users.

The post estimates the cost basis at around $55 per point under current fees.

It also says that trading BTC/USDT with 50x leverage and about $150 balance could still produce only around 0.5 points after roughly $30 in fees, implying that free farming has effectively ended.
