Taiko: Secret Key Exposure Incident
Taiko experienced a security incident after a secret key was accidentally left in a public GitHub repository.
According to the message, a hacker found the key, impersonated a trusted network participant, and was able to withdraw around $1.7M.
The post says the issue was caused by a human error rather than a blockchain or SGX exploit, since a secret file was exposed publicly.
It also notes this was not the first key-related issue associated with Taiko, referring to an earlier case involving a team wallet used by a validator in both testnet and mainnet.
